Blue Mason Jar Fun in the Sun

We have just been having so much fun around here!  It is beautiful out, and we are enjoying it as much as we can.  It has been so sunny that I was able to haul a whole case of vintage mason jars out into the sunshine for photos.  Have you been out in the fabulous weather?   Have you even had fabulous weather?!  We need a rainy day, just so that I can catch up with my bloggy friends.
The only sewing I have been getting done at all is by hand while Little Miss is at physical therapy.  I finally did up the fun hedgie pattern that my fabulous sister gave me at Christmastime.  Yes, it's another bag, but I need one for shower stuff at physical therapy.  I have decided that since I have to wait for Little Miss in the shower anyways, I might as well have a pedicure once in awhile.  Summer is tough on the tootsies!

What special things are you doing for yourself lately?
Dear "B" sent me some charming vintage embroidery bits.  How did she know I need some new sachets?  Here is one I finished with violets.  I adore violets!  Tucked into her envelope was a sprig of lavender from her garden.  Of course I had to make her a reusable sachet for her, for some of her intoxicating lavender.

We are off on more "adventures" today.  How about you?  I hope everybody is so busy having fun they are too busy for their computers.  Meet ya back here to swap stories...sometime!

  1. Beautiful stuff. I have that hedgie pattern, too, thought he'd be a sweet little motif on a child's dress. He looks great with your woodland buddy fabric.

  7. I didn't see that you put the sachet here--and I love what you did with the embroidered bits! :) They were meant for you. As soon as I get some scented geranium leaves dried, I'm going to send some to you. I filled my sachet bag with rosemary, roses, geranium and lemon verbena...and slept with it! I never thought of reusable sachets but I love them now!
